Reggie Fairchild is an investor, inventor, marketer and all-around startup adviser. Reggie led the launch of some America Online’s (“AOL’s”), biggest and most successful product launches during the company’s heyday in the mid to late 1990s. His credits include AOL 4.0, AIM 2.0, AOL Phone, improvements to AOL Search, AOL Broadband, AOL 8.0 and many others. He left AOL in late 2002 and moved to Charleston, SC in 2003. He was a founding board member of Sabal Medical, one of the hottest startups to come out of South Carolina in many years. He has served as a creative advisor on a number of corporate, charity and event logos.
Reggie is also a sailor. He races Melges 24s and MC Scows. In the past, he has raced Hobie 33s, J-24s, Solings, Lasers, Sunfish and many other one-design and PHRF boats. In 2008, he and his crew won the Melges 24 Corithian U.S. National Championship.
He lives with his wife and 3 children in Mount Pleasant, SC.
